Our mantra is Rituals Not Routines and we advocate holding intentional self-care rituals, with skincare being an essential step in your daily practice. Whilst the term self-care has taken on many meanings over the year, in essence, it is mindfully taking time to pay attention to yourself. Developing a mindful approach to skincare will boost the benefits of your products and can help to calm the mind’s chatter and increase your overall wellbeing.
We are inviting you to make space for a sacred ritual, to be in that moment and transport you to a clearer, quieter, calmer state of mind. Drawing a focus on personal rejuvenation and intentional deep breathing will allow you to let go of negative vibrations and take control of your mental and physical health.
So, how do we do this? Whilst candles, meditation music and an hour of your day will really elevate your ritual, we recognise that this isn’t always possible. Whether you’re cleansing, scrubbing, moisturising or rolling your skin with our products, we encourage you to pay attention to each stroke and sensation on your skin to increase the clarity of your present moment reality. Maintain your focus on your body and follow your breath going in, and out. We recommend intentional deep breathing, at least ten times, in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Be mindful of every pressure you place on your skin, whilst slowly, deeply breathing in the essential oil aromas, allowing you to feel connected to your own life force. The essential oils extracted and distilled from plants trigger responses in the brain that send healing to the body. By mastering the art of deep breathing in your skincare, increased oxygen floods into the body, helping the heart pace to slow down to create feelings of relaxation. Calm, intentional care of the skin whilst deep breathing allows you to observe your thoughts as they arise in your mind and, little by little, to let go of them.
